Helping my clients meet their goals, whether it's weight loss, building strength, lean muscle mass or becoming more functional is what inspires me to be a better trainer and coach everyday. Their success is my success.
"When I started training with Hannah, I was overweight, out of shape, and completely clueless when it came to healthy eating and an effective workout routine. Carrying my three year old for short distances left me short of breath. I knew I owed it to my child and myself to model a healthy lifestyle and begin taking care of my body. With Hannah's expertise and encouragement, I've lost fifteen plus pounds, shed inches all over, and gained the confidence and strength I need to be a great mom, and the best version of myself. Hannah is extremely invested in your progress, whether it be inside or outside the gym, and provides unparalleled resources, knowledge, motivation, and encouragement, to enable you to meet your goals!"
"When I first started working with Hannah I was about one year into my new routine of eating healthier and really applying myself in the gym. In that year, I lost 15lbs but knew I could do more. Enter Hannah. Hannah really listens to you, understands your goals, and will create a program that will get you where you want to be, as long as you put in the work. From my heaviest, I’m down 65 pounds. Since I started working with Hannah I’m down 35 pounds and 30+ inches, while adding some muscle. In January we refocused my plan and talked about my goals for 2018 and we’re slowly working away at them together. I cannot say enough good things about Hannah. She knows my stalling tactics (they are numerous) and she knows my strengths and weaknesses. I can’t imagine having anyone else there to motivate me, give me advice, and mainly just laugh with me while I’m doing soul crushing workouts. She is the single greatest asset I have in this process."
When I first moved to Charleston, I was less than a year into my diagnosis of pulmonary fibrosis, a scarring of the lungs that restricts airflow. To prevent damage to the heart or other organs I was placed on oxygen and told that the only thing that would bring improvement was physical conditioning. There is no medication or other treatment that is helpful. I hadn’t worked out regularly in more than 18 months and hadn’t worked with a trainer in two years. As soon as I was settled in the Low Country, I joined Chucktown Fitness and began working three days a week with Hannah. When I started, I had difficulty with even the smallest of my daily tasks including climbing ladders, carrying laundry or unloading groceries from my car. Today, my quality of life has improved dramatically. Thanks to Hannah, I now have the strength and endurance to do anything I need. She has a keen ear and eye and customizes my workouts according to my needs and abilities. She never forces, but she doesn’t let me cop out either. She challenges me, and with her encouragement I have come to believe I can continue to improve even as I grow older. I couldn’t do it without her.
Hannah Zervos has been my personal fitness and physical trainer for approximately 18 months. Previously, I had a busy professional career and had very little time for exercise. Since my retirement, I decided to begin exercising at a local gym. I have found Hannah to be an excellent physical trainer of tremendous versatility, intelligence and discipline -- and she is a lot of fun too. I never was a been a person that liked to exercise, but since meeting Hannah, I now train with her at least 3 times per week. My level of fitness, strength and mobility have all improved significantly under her supervision. She has a great knowledge of body mechanics, muscle function and I have found her to be capable of determining my individual limit and capabilities. She encourages me to reach and push past my limit, but she is also very careful to a avoid any injury. She is very creative in deciding what exercises I will do in a session with the result being that I never get bored when working out.
"I have been training with Hannah for almost a year now, and the results have been amazing. She is very knowledgeable about routines and workouts, and can even make it fun. Previously, any time I’d spend at a gym was solely on the treadmill, but now I feel confident and familiar with almost all of the equipment, and look forward to improving. Hannah pushes me past self-imposed limitations, and encourages me to keep going, but she’s always engaged and focused enough to know when to let me catch my breath! In the whole year I’ve trained with her, we’ve never repeated a workout, which is awesome, and I look forward to crushing some more fitness goals!"
I have trained with several fitness specialists over the years, and Hannah is one of my favorites. I’ve been training with her for nearly two years, and I love how knowledgable she is about the body and food. She is dedicated to her craft and to constantly expanding her own knowledge so she understands exactly what each individual client needs. As a client who is nearly 50-years old and still playing hockey, core strength, balance and preventing injury are important to me. Hannah has done her research so she understands exactly what my body needs. She educates me about what foods are going to provide me with the energy I need, and steers me back on course when I need it. On the mornings I just don’t feel like putting my best foot forward, Hannah’s smile and encouragement changes my outlook and gets my day started on a positive note. If you’re looking for a trainer who really knows her stuff and has an attitude that makes everyone around her want to do and be better, I would highly recommend Hannah.
